Recombinant Streptokinase produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 414 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 47kd.  rSK is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance:

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Formulation:

The protein (1.5MIU) was lyophilized from a sterile solution containing 12.5mg HSA, 2.3mg Sodium phosphate dibasic, 0.55mg sodium phosphate monobasic buffer and 4.2 mg Sodium glutamate monohydrate.

Solubility:

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized rSK in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O.

Stability:

Lyophilized rSK although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -180C.  Upon reconstitution rSK should be stored at 40C between 2-7 days and for future use below -180C.  Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity:

Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Biological Activity:

One unit will liquify a standard clot of fibrinogen, plasminogen and thrombin at pH 7.5 at 37°C in 10 min.
